During the ceremony, the University of Tartu contribution to society award, research award, language award and the teaching staff of the year 2024 awards are presented. Also the Ernst Jaakson memorial fund scholarship, the Lennart Meri awards for research and for master's thesis, and the Peeter Tulviste memorial fund prize are handed to the recipients.

Our Professor of Political and Social Semiotics Andreas Ventsel delivers a lecture titled "The deterring power of words".

Music is performed at the ceremony by Tartu Academic Male Choir conducted by Roland Viilukas, and the event ends with a concert by Vaiko Eplik.
