Helmut Lütkepohl is Bundesbank Professor in the field of “Methods of Empirical Economics” at the Freie Universität zu Berlin and Dean of the DIW Berlin Gradu- ate Center since 2012. Previously he has been Professor of Econometrics at the European University Institute in Florence and the Humboldt University in Berlin, Professor of Statistics at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel and the University of Hamburg. He holds a diploma and doctorate from Bielefeld University. He has published articles in many journals, includ- ing Econometrica, Econometrics Journal, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Applied Econo- metrics, International Journal of Forecasting. He is the author and co-author of “New Introduction to Multiple Time Series Analysis”, “Applied Time Series Econometrics” and “Handbook of Matrices“.
